摘要：
Utilizing dental implants for reconstructing lost dentition have exhibited impressive long-term cumulative survival rate. Nevertheless, the prevalence of biological and technical complications may be underappreciated, and the often asymptomatic nature of peri-implant diseases can render them imperceptible to patients. The primary aim of this lecture is to explain definition of peri-implantitis, physiological bone loss, pathological bone loss, the problem of Implant Disease Risk Assessment (IDRA) tool. The second aim is to narrate the updated International Team of Implantology (ITI) consensus report in 2023 pertaining to implant disease prevention and management. Hope this lecture could bring some insights toward the clinicians.
