摘要：
Immediate implant placement with immediate restoration/loading (Type 1A protocol) has drawn wide attention in recent years. However, the indication for Type IA protocol is limited in literature and current clinical guidelines. For compromised extraction sockets with hard and/or soft tissue deficiency, multiple surgeries with prolonged treatment time are usually needed, and Type 1A protocol is not recommended. With the concept of IDR, it will be a paradigm shift to deal with compromised sockets.
